What is Emotional Intelligence Coaching at Nibana?

Emotional Intelligence (EI) Coaching at Nibana helps high performers turn self-awareness into leadership you can feel. We train the four core capacities - self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management - so you make cleaner decisions, hold boundaries with warmth, and create trust that sticks under pressure.

We believe that at the core of Emotional Intelligence is cultivating empathy.

In practice, that means learning to read your signals (body, emotion, story), regulate fast, and communicate in a way that lands - whether you’re with a board, a team or a partner. You’ll leave each session with micro-habits and scripts that translate immediately to one-to-ones, feedback, negotiations and high-stakes moments.

The result is performance with presence: less reactivity, more clarity, and relationships that amplify results rather than drain them.

What you’ll get

Calmer baseline; fewer reactive spirals during high-stakes moments.
Clear, confident decisions and less overthinking.
Higher-quality conversations: feedback, boundaries and repair without drama.
Stronger team trust and cross-functional influence.
Lower stress and burnout risk; better energy management.
Visible momentum within 4–6 weeks.

Is this for you?

  • You’re an executive, founder or senior operator and want results without the constant drain.
  • You default to push/perform or avoid/overthink and want steadiness with spine.
  • Hard conversations get delayed - or come out too hot.
  • You want boundaries that protect focus without losing warmth or access.
  • You value evidence-informed tools and weekly practice over vague “soft skills.”
  • You’re willing to tell the truth, be coached and practise between sessions.
  • Not for you if you want tips without implementation, or if you’re seeking clinical therapy for acute issues. I can signpost specialist support if needed.

The Process

  1. Connection call (20 min) — understand where you are and what you want.
  2. Deep-dive (60–90 min) — surface patterns, define outcomes, map first moves.
  3. Coaching container — bespoke cadence; practices to create durable change.
  4. Integration — track shifts; adjust as you evolve.

The Performance to Presence Method™

What we work with

  • Identity work - clarify who you are beneath roles and expectations. We do this by looking at things like Boundaries, Victim Consciousness, Core Beliefs, Shadow Work, Archetype & Inner Child work, and understanding Cultural Conditioning
  • Inner Skills - We generally learn skills that help us navigate the external world and be successful. However, we pay little attention or importance to our internal landscape. These skills can include cultivating attention, mindfulness, energy accounting, feminine-masculine dynamics, eros, principles of deep connection, embodiment, understanding desire cycle, orgasmic meditation (OM), reactivity vs responsiveness, and more…
  • Practices - At Nibana, we believe that in order to transform your life, sustainable change has to be rooted firmly in the discipline of practices or rituals.
  • Life as Play - Our coaching model introduces a set of principles for a life based on living life as an Infinite Game, i.e., creating a life where play and mystery are the core.

How change becomes durable

We pair insight with embodied practices—simple daily reps that re-train attention, emotion, and energy. Over weeks, these compound into a steadier nervous system, cleaner choices, and visible results at work and in relationships.

Our vibe

Straight, respectful conversations. No fluff. We go at the pace of truth—and we make room for play and mystery along the way.

What our clients say

What does one do after the big goal is achieved? What does one do when money, fame, or even impact/contribution no longer cut it out for you? I turned to Kapil for coaching.

Through a dozen sessions, I got to understand myself and the world out there more. His sessions gave me relief from the immediate, resolved what was in my head and heart, and more importantly, gave me tools and perspectives to go deeper and go beyond the immediate resolutions.

The sessions have made me unfuckwithable, and have given me a mature worldview on relationships.

I gained deep, lasting clarity on my business and the purpose it can serve for me and the world.

Also, I might not have had the wonderful, magical relationship with my “current fiance and soon-to-be wife” had Kapil not entered my life!

I’ve had the honour of working with Kapil for the last few months and each and every session has always left me with an “aha” moment. His insightfulness, guidance and compassion has truly been a blessing.

I never thought that I would need a “coach” when Kapil was recommended to me yet now I have a better understanding of my fears, more clarity around my desires, and certainty about the life that I want to live. For that, I’m truly grateful. I would highly recommend Kapil

I reached out to Kapil as I was looking for some help with my career change. After one call, we got to the centre of my fear and my motivation behind leaving my job. But even more powerfully, Kapil helped me put into motion the bold action needed to make the leap. I left my job a few months later and haven’t looked back!

Kapil gave me the tools and frameworks that helped me recognise my self-limiting beliefs and patterns. His advice and encouragement has been invaluable in my personal growth.

Frequently asked questions

How is EI coaching different from generic leadership coaching?
EI coaching targets identity, nervous-system regulation and communication under pressure - so your leadership changes in real moments, not just on paper.
What frameworks and methods do you use?
We work with the four EI domains (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management) plus pragmatic tools: regulation drills, boundary scripts, feedback/repair frameworks and weekly micro-experiments.
How will we measure progress so this isn’t just “soft skills”?
We define 1–3 key outcomes and track weekly behaviours, energy and outcomes via brief check-ins.
Will this help with feedback, conflict and stakeholder management?
Yes. As you cultivate Emotional Intelligence, you will learn to respond and not react in pressure situations. This is about building confidence in your felt sense over living a formula based life.
How quickly will I see results?
Many clients notice relief and clarity in 1–2 sessions; sustainable shifts typically compound over 6–12 sessions with practice between meetings.
How long are sessions and how often do we meet?
Standard sessions are 60 minutes, weekly or fortnightly. We’ll agree a cadence that fits your goals and season of life in the intro call.
